PACIFIC OCEAN (May 7,2017) Lt. Damon Goodrich-Houska, Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) of the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC), waits for questions as watch standers prepare for a missile exercise rehearsal aboard USS Bunker Hill (CG 52). Thirteen WTIs were underway with the USS Theodore Roosevelt Strike Group (CSG) leading advanced tactical training events in support of the Theodore Roosevelt Group Sail. Group Sail is a pre-deployment underway which allows the TRCSG units, USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), USS Halsey (DDG 97), USS Higgins (DDG 76), USS Preble (DDG 88), USS Sampson (DDG 102), USS Bunker Hill (CG 52), Carrier Airwing (CVW) 17, and Carrier Strike Group (CSG) staffs, to conduct exercises together in a maritime environment.
