Capt. Chris Boyer, team leader, Civil Affairs Team A, from CA Team C, 489th CA Battalion, which is attached to 3rd Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, which is attached to 1st Cav. Div, provides overwatch security for a suspected improvised explosive device outside of Camp Rustamiyah, Iraq, Dec. 5th. Boyer was en route to a nahia (council) meeting in Wahida, Iraq, which he attended in order to help the local populace deal with their challenges.
