Sgt. Maj. Salem Bani Mustafa, Sergeant Major of the Jordan Armed Forces, shares a fist-bump with Command Sgt. Maj. James Nugent from the 29th Infantry Division during a senior leader engagement at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) NCO Academy on May 13, 2017, near Amman, Jordan. The meeting focused on the continued professional development of the JAF NCO corps, which is considered a leader in NCO professionalism by other armies in the region. Salem shared his vision for the JAF with senior U.S. noncommissioned officers during their visit, stating the NCO academy played a pivotal role in building a professional NCO corps capable of facing regional challenges shared by both countries.
