Navy Seaman Adam Smith, a corpsman with Battalion Landing Team 1/1, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, teaches Lance Cpl. Nickolas Garbee, an administrative clerk with Headquarters and Service Company, BLT 1/1, 13th MEU, how to insert a Nasopharyngeal Airway into a simulated wounded Marine’s nostril to help him breathe, during the Combat Lifesavers Course, Nov. 14, aboard the USS Green Bay. During Composite Training Unit Exercise, corpsmen from the BLT taught the course to help train Marines to save lives.
