Military members salute and civilians stand during the playing of the National Anthem by The Ohio State University Band at the honoree ceremony during Military Appreciation Day at the 42nd Annual Memorial Tournament on May 31, 2017, at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. The induction ceremony is held at the tournament each year to recognize the new honoree and that individual's accomplishments and contributions to the game of golf. These events remind the community of the sacrifice the men and women in the military make for their country, and also provide military members an opportunity to show their gratitude for the support they get from fellow citizens.
