Brig. Gen. Michael Leichty, land component commander, Utah National Guard, smooths the lapel of Richard Johnson after pinning a Bronze Star Medal on his coat. Johnson, a World War II veteran who served in the European Theater of Operations as an infantry machine gunner with the 194th Glider Infantry Regiment, 17th Airborne Division, officially recieved the Bronze Star Medal, BSM he earned during WWII in a ceremony at the E. J. Garn Aviation Complex in West Jordan Nov. 19, 2010.
