    Richard Johnson of Herriman, Utah, talks to the media after finally receiving the Bronze Star Medal he earned 65 years ago in a ceremony at the E. J. Garn Aviation Complex in West Jordan Nov. 19, 2010. During the ceremony, Johnson, an 83-year-old World War II veteran who served in the European Theater of Operations as an infantry machine gunner with the 194th Glider Infantry Regiment, 17th Airborne Division, officially received the BSM he earned during WWII for saving a fellow soldier’s life.
