170531-N-LC424-0397 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 31, 2017) Quartermaster 2nd Class Kelly Perlote, a Philadelphia native, assigned to the administrative department of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), handles signal flags on the ship’s signal bridge. Pearl Harbor is currently underway conducting a Certification Exercise (CERTEX) as part of the third and final phase of qualifications for their upcoming deployment. The America Amphibious Ready Group is comprised of more than 1,800 Sailors and 2,600 Marines assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), and Pearl Harbor.
