Cpl. Kyle Greer, a CH-53D crew chief with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 362, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), ensures all passengers are seated before take off during Operation Stargey Oct. 17. Greer and four other HMH-362 Marines received their combat aircrew wings from Brig. Gen. Andrew W. O'Donnell Jr., the 3rd MAW (Fwd) commanding general, at the flightline aboard Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, Dec. 6. The combat aircrew wings must be earned while the unit is deployed. It is a prestigious distinguishing device as it is symbolic of Marine aviation's deep bond and commitment to supporting the infantry and coalition forces in Afghanistan.
