A U.S. Air Force RQ-4 Global Hawk Unmanned Aerial Vehicle from the 99th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron taxis to the runway for its first launch from an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia, Nov. 29, 2010. The RQ-4 carries the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node which acts as a persistent gateway, bridging diverse tactical data links and voice communications to improve battlefield communications.
