Sgt. Jesus Ruiz-Garcia, 469th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, the top male winner, also won the 1.5 mile run for time during the 650th Regional Support Group’s Combat Fitness Challenge at the Camp Parks Reserve Forces Training Area June 9-10. This 311th Expeditionary Sustainment CFC preliminary round, introducing “The Year of Fitness,” was established by Brig. Gen. David Elwell, 311th Expeditionary Sustainment Command commanding general. This new fitness event allows both officers and enlisted Soldiers to compete head to head in a series of rigorous athlete events.
