Sgt. 1st Class Antonio Clayton, father of 5 (with one more on the way) and platoon sergeant for 2nd Platoon, D Company, 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division poses for a photo with two members of his platoon during a rotation at Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, Louisiana June 17.
"You have to be able to deal with different knuckleheads and different personalities, points of view and different ways of doing things," Clayton said. "The only difference is, I can't necessarily spank them. Still, most rewarding thing about being a dad or platoon dad is seeing them implement the things you taught them in a combat or stressful environment."
