170617-N-XK398-115 PHILIPPINE SEA (Jun. 17, 2017) Cmdr. Alfredo Sanches, commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56), leads Rear Adm. Marc Dalton, commander, Expeditionary Group 7, through the John S. McCain as part of the interoperability with the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group. The visit is meant to ensure the enhanced readiness of the John S. McCain to rapidly integrate with an amphibious task force to provide increased capability for amphibious operations in support of crisis response or disaster relief.
