U.S. Coast Guard, Djibouti Navy Share Boarding Tactics

USCGC MIDGETT, At Sea - Petty Officer 2nd Class Neil Bacewicz, a gunners mate from East Hartford, Conn., aboard the USCGC Midgett (WHEC 726), shares weapons handling knowledge with a Djiboutian Navy officer during a joint U.S. and Djibouti training exercise. Midgett, a 378-foot high endurance cutter homeported in Seattle, has been underway since September and is currently conducting Maritime Security Operations under Combined Task Force (CTF) 150 in the 5th Fleet area of Operations. During the joint training, Midgett's boarding team exchanged ideas and helped instruct the Djibouti boarding team on safe weapons handling, handcuffing techniques and general boarding practices.
