Marines assigned to Marine Air Control Squadron 2 and personnel from Program Executive Officer Land Systems cut a ribbon, unveiling new radar systems aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., June 28, 2017. MACS-2 showcased the Common Aviation Command and Control System; AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar; and Composite Tracking Network, and how they integrate with one another. The new equipment will provide faster and more accurate data than previous equipment which will allow Marine Air-Ground Task Force commanders to maintain better situational awareness, improving their decision ability. MACS-2 is a part of Marine Air Control Group 28, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Pfc. Skyler Pumphret/ Released)
