Master Sgt. Robert Dockins carries U.S. Army Tech. Sgt. Charles F. Carey Jr.’s Medal of Honor to be placed in a display at the Joint Force Readiness Center in Cheyenne, Wyo., Dec. 15. The private ceremony and formal dedication of the new display honored Carey’s achievements and heroism during combat, in Rimling, France, during World War II. Carey’s wife, Eva, now deceased, lived in Cheyenne. Their sons Richard Carey, now of Los Angles, and Ronald Carey, now of Salt Lake City, presented the medal on behalf of their mother.
