Seaman Chris Brenzai, gunner's mate, from Warren, Ohio, uses an M-14 rifle to fire a shot line from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan during a replenishment at sea with the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Guadalupe. The shot is used to connect the phone and distance line which allows bridge to bridge communication and measures the distance between the two ships. USNS Guadalupe is one of many ships that make up the Military Sealift Command's Naval Auxiliary Force, which are the supply lines to U.S. Navy ships at sea, providing fuel, food, ordnance, spare parts, mail and other supplies. Ronald Reagan is currently underway preparing for an upcoming deployment.
