U.S. Airmen with the 22nd Airlift Squadron, 60th Air Mobility Wing, unload a sonar rubber dome window from a C-5M Super Galaxy onto a K-Loader at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni, Japan, July 13, 2017. The C-5M transported the piece approximately 5,500 miles from Travis Air Force Base, California, to MCAS Iwakuni where it was then loaded onto the MS Manyoshi Maru for delivery to Fleet Activities Yokosuka. MCAS Iwakuni is the only Marine Corps installation with a co-located airport and seaport, providing strategic capabilities to U.S. forces in the Indo-Asia Pacific region.
