Marines with Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron (MTACS) 38 and Marine Wing Communications Squadron (MWCS) 38 work inside the larger version of the tactical air direction center (TADC), during exercise HYDRA 1-17, at East Miramar, California, June 8. HYDRA 1-17 simulated ship-to-shore movement by employing a TADC and integrated with a Navy tactical air control center (NTACC). A TADC is a task-organized site that performs all or most of the Marine tactical air command center (Marine TACC) functions but is employed in a subordinate role. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
