170711-N-LC424-0488 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 11, 2017) Fire Controlman 3rd Class Nicholas Toohey, a St. Louis native, assigned to the operations department aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), set’s up a firing range for a live fire training exercise on the ship’s flight deck. Pearl Harbor is currently embarked on a scheduled deployment as part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, which is comprised of more than 1,800 Sailors and 2,600 Marines assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), and Pearl Harbor.
