POLARIS POINT, Guam (July 14, 2017) Damage Controlman 1st Class Victoria Wells helps a sea cadet from the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Marianas Division Guam, don a self-contained breathing apparatus during a tour of the submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39). Emory S. Land and the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), the U.S. Navy’s only two submarine tenders, provide maintenance, hotel services and logistical support to submarines and surface ships in the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operation.
