170713-N-WF272-126 TOWNSHEND ISLAND, Australia (July 13, 2017) Landing craft air cushion (LCAC) 10, assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7, departs the beach after offloading Marine forces and equipment as part of large-scale amphibious assault during Talisman Saber 17. LCAC 10, launched from the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), enabled movement of 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) forces and equipment ashore in order for the MEU to complete mission objectives in tandem with Australian counterparts.
