Sgt. Major Phillip Fascetti, 1st Marine Division (Forward) sergeant major, talks to Marines with 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion during a battle space tour, Jan. 24. Fascetti asked the Marines and sailors about the durability of their equipment, their physical necessities, and their daily routines. “We have been hearing great things about 3rd LAR, so we wanted to come down here to see how you guys are doing,” Fascetti said. Fascetti and Brig. Gen. Osterman, commanding general of 1stMarDiv(Fwd), visited several patrol bases to encourage the Marines and sailors, and see the areas where they are living and working. Fascetti told the warriors to continue doing good things to better the area for the people and for the units that will come after them.
