Joint Task Force Medical staff members comprised of 3d Medical Command (Deployment Support) soldiers and Navy sailors participating as a joint level command staff in the Global Medic 2017 Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX) at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., receive status updates on medical operations conducted by the 332nd Medical Brigade and 804th Medical Brigade in the combined joint operating area within the notional country of Atropia. The Global Medic CSTX is held simultaneously at various locations from Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., to Fort Devens, Mass., Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., Camp Roberts and Camp Parks, Calif. Global Medic is a situational scenario-based simulation exercise focused on the development of 80% strategic/operational and 20% joint medical and tactical skills.
