NEW YORK (July 28, 2017) Cmdr. Jason Sticht, from Minneapolis, Minnesota and a graduate of Burnsville Senior High School, saluting as he passes through the ceremonial sideboys during his change of command held in One World Trade Center. Sticht was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal after completing his tour as commanding officer of Navy Recruiting District New York. The New York recruiting district was officially established in 1972 to help create an all-volunteer naval force and consists of more than 40 recruiting stations covering New York, Long Island and northern half of New Jersey.
