U.S. Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Tiesha L. Houke, a horizontal construction engineer supervisor, assigned to the 317th Engineer Construction Company, 863rd Engineer Battalion, 416th Theater Engineer Command, from Homewood, Ill., is part of the operations team helping supervise and assist the road project where needed July 30, 2017, on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation near Browning, Mont. Houke has served 16 years in the Army, 14 years as an aviation operation specialist and two as an engineer. The 317th ECC is conducting their annual training at the Blackfeet Reservation to construct roads for the local population as part of the Innovative Readiness Training program, which bridges the gap between essential military training and the needs of civil society.
