NEW CASTLE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Del. - Airman 1st Class Daunte Smiley, 166th Security Forces Squadron, stands in position at a temporary entry control point during an exercise scenario on August 5, 2017. Exercise Vigilant Diamond took place from August 4th – 5th 2017. Response capabilities of base personnel were tested during simulated events that arose during various phases of the exercise. Members of the Delaware Air National Guard responded to scenarios including an active shooter incident, hazardous materials incident, and an explosive ordinance device sighting.
