PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 2, 2017) The Henry J. Kaiser-class fleet replenishment oiler USNS Henry J. Kaiser (T-AO-187) refuels the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) and the guided-missile destroyer USS Higgins (DDG 76) during a replenishment-at-sea. Theodore Roosevelt is underway conducting a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with the its carrier strike group in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests a carrier strike group's mission-readiness and ability to perform as an integrated unit through simulated real-world scenarios.
