Soldiers from the 6th Civil Support Team train on radiation detection equipment with members of the Department of Energy in Fort Worth, Texas, Jan. 31. The National Guard unit, headquartered in Austin, Texas, also trains for stateside emergency situations. Along with other units in Joint Task Force 71, the CSTs periodically participates in such training to maximize interoperability when activated to augment civilian public safety entities.
