Iraqi army jinood, Arabic for soldiers, with 2nd Battalion, 21st Regiment, 5th Iraqi Army Division, raise their rifles to engage targets during reflexive fire training at Kirkush Military Training Base, Feb. 6, 2011. Each 5th IA Div. soldier fired two rounds, after receiving direction from their platoon leader, who ran each range with supervision from U.S. Division-North soldiers assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 25th Infantry Division. Company A provided initial instruction on proper firing positions before stepping back, allowing Iraqi platoon leaders to lead their troops in training. The training exercise is part of a 25-day training cycle at KMTB, part of Tadreeb al Shamil, or All Inclusive Training; a partnered effort by U.S. forces and Iraqi army units to modernize their units through self-sustainable training.
