Lt. Gen. Duane D. Thiessen, commanding general of Marine Corps Forces Pacific, tries cobra egg while U.S., Royal Thai and Republic of Korea Marines look on at the jungle survival training course in Ban Chan Krem Feb. 11, 2011. Thiessen was visiting the troops of the Ground Combat Element, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade Forward, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The jungle survival training course is one of seven joint-training evolutions that Korean, Thai and U.S. Marines will complete at Ban Chan Krem during Exercise Cobra Gold 2011. Cobra Gold 2011 is a yearly multinational, joint training exercise designed to improve partner nation interoperability.
