Royal Thai and U.S. Marines conduct military operations in urban terrain training during Exercise Cobra Gold 2011 here Feb. 11, 2011. The Marines received instruction and practical application time before donning protective gear and assaulting the town using special effects small arms marking systems. SESAMS are modified M4 Carbines that shoot a small paint pellet round out of a 9mm cartridge casing. Cobra Gold is a yearly multinational, joint training exercise designed to improve partner nation interoperability.
