Shelly Pang, a dog care taker at the Hawaiian Humane Society, teaches a group of volunteers from the Single Marine and Sailor Program, how to properly walk the dogs during a SMSP volunteer event in Honolulu, Hawaii, Aug. 20, 2017. The Hawaiian Humane Society hosted a dog walking volunteer event for the Single Marine and Sailor Program to participate in and give back to their local community. The goal of the SMSP is to improve the morale of U.S. Service members and the surrounding communities with different volunteer events and recreational activities.
