PORTLAND, Ore. (Aug. 25, 2017) Vigor Industrial employees inspect the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), after she underwent a fleeting while in dry-dock in Portland, Ore., Aug. 25. The fleeting shifts the position of the ship in order to repair the underbelly of the vessel. Frank Cable, currently in Portland for a scheduled dry-dock phase maintenance availability, conducts maintenance and support of submarines and surface vessels in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
