170830-N-MC499-019 NORFOLK, Va. (August 30, 2017) Aviation Support Equipment Technician 2nd Class Kyle Drummond operates a forklift to move equipment in the hangar bay aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge is onloading personnel, equipment and supplies in preparation to assist with disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Hurricane Harvey formed in the Gulf of Mexico and made landfall in southeastern Texas, bringing record flooding and destruction to the area.
