U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Zachary Plante, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) mountaineer, gives Dr. Nicolette Parr, DPAA anthropologist, a familiarization refresher on equipment so she can safely belay down the side of a steep slope near current excavations, Aug. 28, 2017, to survey the area for future operations in the Quang Tri Province, Vietnam. DPAA deployed to the area in hopes of recovering remains of men lost in a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter crash in June of 1967. The mission of DPAA is to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation. (U.S. Air Force photo by TSgt Jocelyn A. Ford)
