Don Willis, a training coordinator with the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST), teaches Oregon National Guard Soldiers and Airmen about proper care and safety of equipment during firefighting training in Salem, Oregon, September 2, 2017. They are also trained on grid search for hotspots, water streams on hotspots, protective shelter deployment, hazard materials safety, and using water pumps.
