U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Sept. 12, 2017) - Sailors assigned to repair locker 6/7A aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) train on hose handling techniques on one of the ship’s elevators during Alligator Dagger off the coast of Djibouti, Africa. America is the flagship for the America Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
