Staff Sgts William Mitchell and Donterrio Erby, 455th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron aerospace propulsion craftsmen, repair an F-16 Fighting Falcon engine at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Sept. 5, 2017. The team had specialized tools shipped in order to perform the repair in theater. A turbine fan repair would normally involve shipping the engine to Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, but the team was qualified to make the repairs in theater.
