SSgt Donterrio Erby, 455th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron aerospace propulsion craftsman, takes a measurement of a damaged section of an F-16 Fighting Falcon turbine fan at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Sept. 5, 2017. The damaged section will be filed down with a specialized titanium file. A turbine fan repair would normally involve shipping the engine to Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, but the team was qualified to make the repairs in theater.
