ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 16, 2017) Chief Boatswain’s Mate Nicholas Dicicco is covered by Master Chief Boatswain’s Mate Garrett Miller in the hangar bay of the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) during the ship’s fiscal year 2018 chief petty officer pinning ceremony. During the ceremony, 18 Iwo Jima Sailors received their chief anchors and covers as they were promoted to the rank of chief petty officer.
