FORT IRWIN, Calif. – OPFOR Surrogate Vehicles from the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment’s “Demon” Mechanized Infantry Battalion, maneuver through the Central Corridor, National Training Center, on its way to attack elements of the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, from Joint Base Lewis-McCord, WA. Sept. 15, 2017. This phase of Rotation 17-09 challenged the “Lancer Brigade” in conducting a wide-area defense with the objective of controlling key terrain.
