FORT IRWIN, Calif. – A High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle from the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment’s Blackjack Troop provides security as Troopers maneuver up a hill to secure the valley below against elements of the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, from Joint Base Lewis-McCord, WA. Sept. 15, 2017. This phase of Rotation 17-09 challenged the “Lancer Brigade” in conducting a wide-area defense with the objective of controlling key terrain.
