170916-N-TR141-0208 WESTERN PACIFIC (Sept. 16, 2017) Chief Fire Controlman (Aegis) Rennell Austria, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., is piped aboard for the first time as a chief petty officer during a pinning ceremony held aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Chafee (DDG 90). Chafee is part of the U.S. 3rd Fleet and U.S. Naval Surface Forces, currently deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility on a routine scheduled deployment.
