A memorial service for Staff Sgt. Cameron Arana took place at the Travis AFB chapel on March 16. Arana was killed in a motorcycle accident the previous week. Members of the base and community filled the pews and aisles as his unit, the 615th Contingency Response Wing, praised him as a model NCO and friend.
Arana's parents attended the memorial service and accepted an Air Force Commendation Medal awarded to their son posthumously.
