The grandfather of Staff Sgt. Cameron Arana pays respect to the flag during a memorial service for his grandson at the base chapel at Travis Air Force Base, Calif. Arana was killed in a motorcycle accident the previous week. Members of the base and community filled the pews and aisles as his unit, the 615th Contingency Response Wing, praised him as a model noncommissioned officer and friend. Arana's parents attended the memorial service and accepted an Air Force Commendation Medal awarded to their son posthumously.
