U.S Army Sgt. Chad Staples, a member of the 703rd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company and a native of Mona, Utah, places C4 on a pile of ordnance to prepare for a controlled detonation outside of Forward Operating Base Clark, Afghanistan, March 27. Approximately 200 pieces of ordnance were destroyed in a controlled detonation. In addition to getting rid of old and damaged munitions, the mission provided good training in EOD demolition for the team.
