U.S. Army Spc. Eugene Stonehouse, of the 703rd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company and a native of West End, N.C., hands grenade rounds to a Soldier in the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Task Force Duke, outside of Forward Operating Base Clark, Afghanistan, March 27. The grenades along with approximately 200 other pieces of equipment were destroyed in a controlled detonation. In addition to getting rid of old and damaged munitions, the mission provided good training in EOD demolition for the team.
