Up, up and away: Cavalry Soldiers conduct air assault training with Kuwaiti partners

Sgt. Jake Briley, a crew chief assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 149th General Support Aviation Regiment, demonstrates the functioning of the seatbelts inside the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter prior to facilitating hot and cold load training with Soldiers of the 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment "Ghost," 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, Oct. 4 as part of Desert Wall. The units practiced mounting and dismounting from a UH-60 Blackhawk in order to conduct combat operations. Desert Wall was a partnership training event designed to build interoperability between the Ghost Battalion and 55th Battalion, 26th Brigade "The Wall Brigade," inspire confidence in each other's capabilities, and posture both elements for combined operations in support of Operation Spartan Shield while supporting the units' training objectives.
