Brig. Gen. David O. Smith relinquishes command of the 184th Sustainment Command to Brig. Gen. Clint E. Walker during a change of command ceremony at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center October 15, 2017. Serving 35 years in the military, Smith hands off his command to someone he sees as a confident successor. “I have nothing but high regards for the leadership team of the 184th and I expect them to do great things.” While in command, he has built bonds that he will miss. “You miss the people, you don’t miss the work,” said Smith. “The Army is all about the people you get the pleasure to serve with.
